Dr. Agustin Legido completed Medical School, a residency in Pediatrics, and a PhD, at Zaragoza University, Spain. On September 4, 1985, funded by a Fulbright Scholarship, he came to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to pursue training in Pediatric Neurology. He is currently Professor and Chief, Section of Neurology at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He also has a PhD from the University of Bologna, Italy, an MBA from Temple University, and a Physician Executive Certification from the American College of Physician Executives. Since 2005 he has been awarded 14 Best Doctor Awards from regional and national organizations. His research interests are epilepsy, neonatal neurology, mitochondria disorders, autism and brain tumors. He is the author or co-author of 200 publications and 300 abstracts. In 2009 he co-edited the book “Clinical Pediatric Neurosciences for Primary Care”, published by the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2014, he became co-Editor of Seminars in Pediatric Neurology, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal in 2015. He has 15 years of experience working with a company that provides the service of international second medical opinions.
